Cold shower.
There isn’t anything that I want to do less in this world than take a freezing cold shower in the morning.
And yet I do it anyway.
Getting in the shower sucks.
Turning the knob to cold sucks.
The waiting game before you finally find the courage to dip your head in sucks.
The entire time you’re under freezing cold water sucks.
But then something happens when you turn the water off.
It’s an overwhelming feeling of adrenaline but also a feeling of accomplishment.
You didn’t have to subject yourself to this torture but you did so anyway.
You could’ve rolled out of bed and just gone about your day with no harm being done, but you didn’t.
You got in that shower, faced the cold, and won.
You accomplished something first thing in the morning that a small percentage of the population on earth does.
Anything else that comes at you that day, you can handle.
You already conquered the cold, so what’s stopping you from conquering anything else?
Easy answer, nothing.
