Unfortunately, the answer to this question is fairly subjective.
People find peace inside themselves in different ways.
Here are some ways I find peace within myself daily:
- Meditation. 10 minutes of guided meditation daily using the Waking Up app allows me to be more present in moments throughout each day. I’ve also found unguided meditation to be quite beneficial (it’s just a lot harder to fight distractions).
- Breath work (the Wim Hof method). Personally, I play guided videos on Youtube because they seem to work best for me. Generally, It’s just 30 breaths for 3 rounds with a hold after releasing the last breath (for as long as you can) and a recovery breath hold for about 10–15 seconds.
- Journaling (morning and night). In the morning I tend to write about how I’m feeling. At night I’ll write what I’m grateful for which helps me feel at peace with the events that took place during the day.
- Non-sleep deep rest (NSDR). Virtusan is a great app to use for practicing NSDR. Andrew Huberman has three different sessions that you can listen along with (10-minute, 20-minute, and 30-minute). This is a form of deep rest that your body needs while awake. It’s a great way to relax and clear your mind.
- Qigong. This is similar to Yoga practice. Focusing on the breath and the movements allows you to separate yourself from thought.
These are just some examples of things that you can do throughout your day to find peace.
If these don’t help then I suggest researching online to learn about what other people do to find peace within.
