My biggest goal in life at the moment is to run a marathon.
For some reason, I want to prove to myself that I can do something as difficult as running a marathon.
Before I decided to embark on this journey I hated running.
Playing soccer seemed to sour running for me.
To get in shape for soccer you need to run a lot and run fast.
Constantly pushing yourself gets old.
After I finished playing soccer I started going on runs without keeping track of my pace.
I quickly realized that not needing to beat a time or set a pace made running a lot more enjoyable.
All of a sudden I was running four to five times a week and loving every second of it.
This past weekend I ran a half marathon on my own for no reason at all.
It was awesome.
I’m super excited to work all the way up to 26.2.
The best part of this goal is that I know that no matter what I’m gonna enjoy the journey.
