Resolving this issue is a three-step process:
- First, analyze your emotions. Is it really him that is making you feel this way? Could there be anything else in your life that is affecting you to the point where you feel a sense of worthlessness or as if nobody cares about you?
- If you’ve thought about it and these feelings stem from the way that he treats you then you must communicate those feelings to him. Be honest and open. If he’s really listening he’ll see the depth behind your words.
- If you do tell him how you’re feeling and nothing changes then you should analyze the relationship in its entirety. Is this something that can be worthwhile? If so, then make every effort to improve your situation (through communication and analysis). If not, it might be best to walk away.
If anything, know that you can’t keep going on harboring these feelings. Eventually, they’ll bubble to the surface.
Get ahead of it while you can.
If you can get through a tough spot in a meaningful relationship then you can get through anything.
