- Don’t neglect your feelings. If something is bothering you, accept those feelings/emotions, analyze what went wrong, think of a possible solution to your problem, and communicate your thought process to your partner. Communication between partners is important to having successful relationships.
- Accept the reality that you cannot change your partner’s (or anyone else’s) behavior. Change only comes from within. Fighting to change a person’s mentality or behavior is a losing battle.
